Hi, Floridafreedivers!

I am planning a 2 week beach holiday in Florida in late May together with my wife and son (he will be 18 months in May). But I would also like to do some cw training while I am there. Ft. Lauderdale is promoted as a family friendly place in Lonely Planet Guide Florida and F.I.I. is located there, so this seems to be the best option for the purpose? Or should I consider somewhere else?

And are there other options than F.I.I.'s "Practice Sessions", which I guess would be a little on the expensive side? Are there people training cw on a regular basis in the area, who I could join and share the expences with? I have been freediving seriously for some years now, and have some comp experience in depth disciplines.

It would also be great to get some advice concerning accommodation. We would like to get something within walking distance to a nice beach, and with access to a decent pool for our little son. The room should have a kitchenette or some kind of cooking facility. We are not looking for something fancy, but comfortable and clean. Max is about 100 USD a night.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Cheers,
Erlend
