I've been using and old Sea Hornet gun for the past 3 years. I decided to build my own gun using the JBL M 8 Trigger Mech.

The gun is finished but the mech won't accept the shaft notch's I have for my sea hornet. I have a JBL shaft and it works fine in the M8. I compared the notches and the sea hornet shaft notch is slightly longer than the JBL notch.

Of all the research I did on building a gun and trigger mech types I never knew there was a difference in notch sizes.

Has anyone come across this before??

Can the M8 be adjusted to accept the sea hornet notch?

I'm looking at buying new shafts for the gun but looking for a fix if one exists.

Thanks!

It may be easier to cut the back few millimeters of the sea hornet spear than trying to fiddle with the mech.
