Hmmm . . . Y'know, it sounds like they were on the lam from something and figured that the victim wasn't going to finger anyone, ever again, so why not keep running?

People are killed often in the UAE from crossing the road. In fact, it's a real problem here, as people cross the highways all time. and they often choose to do it when it's dark, and they cause horrific accidents and injury to other people.

For example, last November, 10 people were killed by crossing the road.. so that averages 2+ people a week :(

As a former bus driver, I condone these fine, young, punctual lad's responsibility to not keep me waiting. It's a civilian's natural duty to look both ways before crossing the street, and, if I may be so bold as to say that, it's about time that people start considering your local bus route schedule, as to not hold up other good people that care about your fallen comrad even less.

Sincerely,

Ralph Crammed-in.

Reactions: land shark
I was nearly involved in a similar incident about 10 years ago traveling through Atlanta on 75 one night. It's about 2 in the morning coming around a long right hand bend in the road. All the sudden about a dozen kids were running in the middle of the road.:naughty Brake lights and screeching tires everywhere. I was wide awake the rest of the night.

The London area traffic is crazy. I was there for a brief time in 2001, and the rules were clear. If you were attempting to cross a street in a place that wasn't a cross walk with the green light on, the drivers would not stop for you. I wonder if that's why I heard sirens all the time.
