Too many times I've checked the wind on the weather channel or on the coast guard sites and its WRONG!!!!

Go to WWW.Lakefrontcam.com and click on SouthShorecam and then Hoan bridge....In the background there is a flag flying on a tall building. Zoom in on it. Right now the wind is from the WEST!!!!!!! Wooooohooooo! C'mon west winds!!!! Blow all that crap & brown water to Michigan!!!

Bgill - I have next Wed & Thurs off of next week- We'll have to see how the weather pans out- maybe hit the lake then? What do ya say.

you can also check WWW.Weatherbug.com which uses local weather stations - by local I mean Neighborhood. A small town like Portage might only have 1 station. But it's accurate compared to watching a TV weather channel 45 miles away. A bigger city like Milwuakee might have several.

As to my previous post- Wed looks bad and I'm not sure about Thurs.

right now "the lake" is like a giant sewerage pit. Visability where I usually go is probably about ZERO right now....I see no letting up with the rain anytime soon.

Other than that there is always some FAIRLY clear inland lakes close to me.

I can take "off" of work just about anytime...I just need to pencil myself in as "OFF" for that day... but my work schedule IS filling up fast. Let me know if you DEFINATELY want to go somewhere. I surely will let you know when the Mediterrainian type conditions come back on the big lake. I'm itchin' to get me one of those hump-headed UPS trucks I saw last time out.

Not to "get religious" on anyone here....But ALL of these NATURAL disasters throughout the world....They just keep coming....Faster & faster....weirder & weirder...New types of diseases etc. - IT'S ALL BEEN WRITTEN FOLKS...It would seem to me that "the prophecys" are coming true...And that indeed it does seem we are living in "the end times"....And to some...Thats a GOOD thing!:)

BTW... Whopperhead - Thanks for the tip on LOCAL weather.

Hope to see you soon.

EDIT: I just looked at the wind on LAKEFRONTCAM & it's still blowing in from the southwest!!! Maybe the vis ISN'T that bad afterall! It looks like I'm working Thursday though... Wednesday & Friday are still open though and will be until the boss gets back in the office on monday!. I may go out tomorrow though....Need to get a few perch if possible!
