Trux! Are you to blame for this?

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Well, not directly - although Czech, I am located in France, so my own hits are not counted there. Otherwise it would be probably double of that :D

But it is true that freediving seems to be pretty popular in Czech Rep, and especially for a landlocked country, the per capita number of active freedivers is the highest in the world. And just to put it little bit into perspective, the stats in the Google Insights are also per capita (as far as I remember).

What interests me is the trend showing a slow decline in interest in freediving over time, even though we have seen a big increase in interest by both press and public over the same period...

Maybe people just need to search less, because the information is better accessible now. So when they had to search 10 times earlier, before finding what they needed, now they can have it in a few clicks (at Deeper Blue, or at Apnea.cz :D)

They may also increasingly use Facebook for the searches. And the growing number of Internet users from Asia may perhaps also play an important role in skewing the results.

And another reason is not only the growing number of non-english-speaking users of Internet, but also the growing absolute number of Internet users, including more and more seniors, kids, or other sociographical groups who won't be interested in freediving.

GOOGLE said:
The numbers on the graph reflect how many searches have been done for a particular term, relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time.

So instead of a deceasing interest of freediving, it simply means the increasing number of searches not related to freediving.

that is true, now it's much much easier to find info and buy stuff and think it's mainly due to a greater popularity of the actual websites (at least in my own experience)

I have found DB through google search and than from DB, I found apnea.cz from apena.cz I found lots and lots of others sites
