Trygon fins

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I've seen a pair recently, but have not tried them. They are extremely light, so much lighter than my Carbon C4 Mustangs which are so much lighter than plastic fins. The owner of them (Fred Buyle - superb freediver) swore by them saying they were the best fins he had had so far. Other than that I can't tell you much specifically other than people love them.

Cheers,
Ben

I didn't realise that the fins Fred had were the Trygons ones.

They're very nice. Any idea what length & stiffness Fred's ones were?

Those are some pretty big endorsements! If you check out the Nitsch palau videos, it looks like the short medium fins he uses look quite stiff. Is that just me?

Thanks S.JEREFOS, good to know. I have ordered a pair of Soft/medium lengths. Looking forward to trying them. Im curious, is there a dig difference in stiffness between the soft and the mediums?

Oh I gotta add, they have pretty good customer service :inlove excellent communication and a pretty quick delivery system.

Hard to say until I either break one or own them for several years. I think the danger is the same with any carbon fins - dropping things on them like weightbelts. I've shore dived with them a few times and have no concerns yet. I'm more worried they might blow away in a stiff breeze...

Ive been diving with mine in the pool and the ocean and took them on a diving trip half way across the world. So far not even a scratch on them. :)

I have a pair of Trygon fins. They are very light weight as other people have stated, however, I have had one pair that had crack on me and Alex (owner of Trygon) replaced them with a new pair and they have been fine. The Pathos footpocket that Trygon recommends does not fit my foot very good. After about 1 hour my foot will start hurting. Other than that, I like the blade and think that it is one of the better ones on the market.

I have used the older C4 blades, CarboTec blades # 1,2 and 3's The older Picasso blades years ago which cracked on me after about 6 months and now I am using Pursuit Blades. The Trygon blades are very responsive and work very well. But as I said before, I cannot use the Pathos Pockets and the blades have been glued into them. It is also my understanding that the Trygon blades were made for the Pathos pocket. I would be interested in selling them if the price was right.

hey maiki, do you think it is possible to un-glue the trygon blade from the pathos footpocket and re-glue it on another footpocket?
I'm thinking worst case scenario the pathos footpocket gets a little damaged where it was glued.

I would be interested in buying those fins/pockets or any other fins/pockets you guys may have.....

I tried the cressi 2000 HF and were EXTremely stiff for me. I'm 5.7 / 150 lbs.
I just bought a pair of Spetton USA carbon fins w/ Dessault pockets (glued) and they were a bit big pocket and the blades were definitely softer but still a bit too stiff for me....I would be interested in a trade or trade plus cash or sell and buy another.

Maiki, what size and specs are the trygons you may b interested in selling?

Anyone have any ideas on what is the softest carbon blade available and also what other foot pockets are a little smaller/narrower than the dessaults?

are they super soft? do u hv experience w/ em'?

Where could I find price and specs on them? I cant see them online....

What is better and why?
Trygon carbon fins or Omer Stingray caron fins?

I live in Texas, USA....Where/how can I buy a pair of trygons???
Seems to be no dealers in USA!!!
