hi guys

Dunno how much traffick this area receives was looking for people who have used the above fins in carbon. I have done a bit of research on the mediterranean spearfishing forum however have no personal experience with these products as this sorta equiment is very rare in australia especially with the first 2 products.

From my research it seems the trygon fins are the lightest on the market with the pathos fireblade pockets at around 580 grams per complete fin which seems pretty impressive, the xxone fins with pathos fireblade pockets come in around 750grams i believe followed by the omers at around 1050grams.

Currently I use matrix fibreglass fins in stifness 5 which is the stiffest version they make, whilst these fins have been good for freediving have taken them to just over 60m I think the carbon fins mentioned above in a softer version would be much more efficient as a spearfishing fin which is what im looking for.

Was thinking of going with a medium stiffness fin and was kinda favouring the first 2 fins due to their extreme light weight. Can anyone comment on the durability of the trygons fins as a spearfishing fin? There is very little written about the trygons fins? I only boat dive and am fairly careful on my equipment however they are fairly expensive so don't wanna buy something that will let me down.

thanks

yes, I want to ask the same question. since I want to buy another pair carbon fin as well. talk 2 divers in taiwan online who has the trygons fin, they told me thoses fin are the best they ever have, and they feel nothing when the wear it. for spearfinsh The ang of the blade to the foot pocket is 22° , good for surface swming. I brought 2 trygons noseclip and recive it in 2 and half weeks time. so buying a trygons is another opention for me.

btw, does any one know
The angle of the blade to the foot pocket foBeuchat Mundial carbon fin? just brought a pair, and I think the angle is less than 20, doing a lot of seach on the internet just can not find it out may be becasue my poor suffing skill.

After contact with an experienced freediver who is using these fins I have decided to go with trygons fins not sure what stiffness to get, i was going to get medium but the guy I have talked to is using soft and has done some pretty good dives in these fins. Iam 180cm, 95kg atm and fairly strong would soft be too soft do youse reckon?

cheers
