So I can do BTV by keeping my tubes and throat open to go down to about 30m easy. Not sure if that's like valsava because my throat open getting air from the lung. Anyway, I think I can do frenzel because from many key points like adam apple moves, diaphragm does not seem to move, top of my nose moving, while pinching and blow. I also can pinch and blow while I have mouthful of water and neck leans back, so I definitely can equalize with my throat close. Although on land it is easy, when i tried it on FRC diving, not so much.... that's when it counts right ?
So, FRC. I exhale until nothing left but did not force it out with contraction of diaphragm. Then I push a mouthful of air, and keep climb down the rope, while closing my throat. It works great for 10m, after that I can still equalize but very slowly (I can no longer make the ear popped as when shallower, but enough to get equalization going), until I hit 15m, it gets really difficult, on some dives I could make it further though. However my mouth still have air, not sure why I could not equalize deeper. This makes me doubt if I'm really doing frenzel.
If I tilt my head around, push jaw back and forth, sometimes I can get to eq deeper, but that's slow, pretty sure that it won't work on free fall...
So if there is still air in mouth, correct frenzel should be able to equalize until nothing left, right ? What am I doing wrong ? How does FRC at 15m generally translate to depth on full lung ?
