Hi All!

I found this knife on ebay and was hoping to try find out a little more about it? I have googled it, but nothing more than what the Tusa website describes comes up. Just wondering if anyone has used or uses a TUSA Imprex FK210 Dive Knife and if I should purhcase it? I have also found a pair of so called Navy Seal Dive knives? Not sure if they are any good? They look ok? 2 NAVY SEAL SCUBA DIVER DIVE KNIVES, Knife, New BL - eBay Knives, SCUBA Snorkeling, Water Sports, Sporting Goods. (end time 04-May-08 14:15:00 AEST)

Just thought I'd ask and see what you guys recommend, I'd rather spend a little more and get quality than spend a little and get crap.

Any recommendations would be great thanks!

I didn't think they were, it's probably just the name? I guess I'd be better off with the Tusa, atleast it's an established brand and you'd think you'd know what you're getting? However I could buy about 6 or 8 of those other knives for the same total price? haha, I think I'd rather have 1 good knife than 6 blunt crap ones?:blackeye

AAAAHHHH!!!! Haha, ok well then to all who have used a number of brands and have experience, What is the recommendation for a knife, apart from the fact that it needs to be sharp and not rust!
 
Find a knife made of titanium alloy. NOT just any titanium knife. Most titanium alloy knives will not hold an edge well, so any old titanium knife will not do. I have found Ocean Master knives good to use. Titanium, but holds an edge and easy to sharpen. And, that happens to be what the special forces are using, since you had an interest in 'Navy SEALs knife'. In my country the SEALs equivalent are using it.

Yep I have this knife, bloody sharp and the leg straps hold well. the only bad point sort of is the handle has mold imperfections. I have sliced straight through thick fish heads and bones with this knife with the fine edge! I got it for something like $80 in oz but in my opinion its not worth that much, in US online stores its something like $30-40!
 
Which knife? I'm assuming you meant the Tusa? I just bought the ocean master that salibandy was talking bout on ebay, titanium alloy blade so should hopefully be good. Will let you know what I think when it arrives.
 
Did you consider the size of the knives you were interested in before you purchased the Ocean Master? If you are using for a spearfishing knife, it might be too big. The knife itself is light, but the sheath isn't. Thought you'd like to know, even though it may be too late to change your order.
 
Is it also true (even though a titanium knife will keep a sharp edge for a while) that when the blade dulls you have to get it professionally sharpened?
 
Most titanium knives will not hold an edge for long.

Some people like to say that knives should only be sharpened by professionals. I like to disagree. You can make your knife razor sharp if you know how.
