According to the news available in Germany there are no injuries and no chance of leaks. What I would like to know is how in the heck can a sub end up ramming a SuperTanker in the butt?
It isn't like they are small or can turn quickly or are amazingly fast or agile or anything.....

Although they do not tell it, it seems to be apparent that the sub used the tanker as a cover to get somewhere undetected, but lost depth control due to the speed and the consequent suction effect when floating under the tanker.

Pun intended..... I spent 10 years in the Navy and still can never quite understand why anyone would get on a boat whose entire purpose in life is to SINK! Sort of like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane....
My father trained the Airborne at Ft. Benning during WWII and he felt the same way. If the plane still works, stay in it!
I agree, although belatedly. When I was a grunt I jumped out of good airplanes because I didn't know any better and because I needed the jump pay as a poor Lt, but then I finally wised up and went to flight school, and from then on my number of takeoffs was equal to my number of landings, exactly.
