Looking for Underwater Housing for my Casio Exilim EX-S500. They are listing for $175 new...help

Gene

That sounds pretty cheap! Why don't you jump on it then? Or is it just a plastic bag type of case and you are looking for some higher quality case?

I was hoping that someone had a housing for a camera that died or something...I just purchased a new suit & a trip to Mexico...for me $ does not grow on trees...:)

If anyone has an old housing they will not use & want to get rid of it...I'll make it worth your while.

If you are short of money then I'd advise avoiding to buy too cheap things - that will usually turn out to cost you more. UW case for $175 is already an excellent deal. When trying to go lower, you only risk to get an old, leaking or crappy case and possibly risk the loss of the camera that was probably more expensive.

Not necessarily too expensive...I have other things I have spent my play money on right now (Elios Suit, Trip to Mexico for Family of 6, new mask, etc...).

Thanks for the input.

Gene,

Money's tight with two kids so I cant imagine how it must be with 7!

I would wait and get the case when you have bought a few other things first, like new fins. It really is a descent case for the price and since you already have some money invested in a camera you don't want to take a chance or wrecking it. If your looking to take some shallow underwater on your trip just get one of those underwater, diposable, cameras for $15. They work down to about 15' and you can get some decent shots if you get close enough to your subject.

I searched the Net for the best price for the Casio Exilim 1000 and casio U/W case a month ago. Best price for the case was £108, that's about $212. So your price sounds a real deal.
