Hello.
I got the following Email from Sky Christopherson.
Greet Stefan

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I am writing to give you an update on the independent film "The Greater Meaning of Water".

First off, I want to thank you for your support with your pre-order of the film. Your comments have been so encouraging and it's great to know how many of you around the world identify with the theme of this movie, have a love for the water, and have experienced "flow" in many forms and unique variations.

Secondly, I owe everyone an apology for the long delay of the film. As many of you know from reading the Deeper Blue interview ( http://www.deeperblue.net/article.php/782/21 ) we have had some challenges in getting this film made with such a low budget. This was due in part to our decision to not work with a professional producer. We talked to a handful and they all had the same position- unless we framed freediving as a deadly sport, the film would not survive. They said the spiritual side of it would not "sell".

I have fought a long battle to ensure the project's survival but I must admit that I have officially run out of moves. I have maxed out every credit card I have, and am now taking photos of houses for realtors to stay out of bankruptcy. My wife and family have been extremely supportive, but I can tell they are running out of patience. I fear that unless I can spend time on the GMW film again soon, the prospect of completing it becomes more distant as time runs on ( 2.5 yrs now) and I start forgetting pieces of it's core.

I am going to swallow some pride and admit that I desperately need someone's help to get this film finished. We need a total of $30k within the next month or so. Either in a few partial donations, or as a whole. Otherwise, I don't think I can keep it alive much longer.

If you or anyone you know wants to be the saint that keeps this project alive, I need you to come forward now. I will ensure that you are recognized for making this project happen (i.e. name you an executive producer, or whatever else I can do).

Please let me know if this is a possibility for anyone before I have to make a decision that I am dreading.

Sincerely,

Sky Christopherson
Director, The Greater Meaning of Water.

I have seen a rough cut of the film and talked with Sky at length about the story and production of this film. It has excellent potential and would be a great step for freediving worldwide. If you can help with even a small donation then please do it.

End of The GMW

Hi All,

Sorry everyone, I hate to let you down but things are not looking good. I have not found any further support. I will keep trying for 2 more weeks before I take the website down and shelf the footage.

Sorry,

-Sky Christopherson
