I just baught a Master American and going to upgrade the line release to a stainless steal one. Does anyone know how to get the side peice off? the top peice under the shaft comes out with a pin, but i dont see a pin for the the actual finger on the side. Can use anyones help!

Hello and welcome on DB... I think if you post close up pics of the handle will be better... From the website it is showing 4 stainless pins, but better to post pics to be sure.. Hope someone else has the gun here already...

You don't really need to change it. I have one of those spearguns and I put a little ball of epoxy glue at the tip of the line release and is working well so far for many years.
