American ingenuity at work my friends, take a look!!!! I can't understand why, with products like this, our car companies are going out of business. I mean honestly, who couldn't find a use for this car?!!! And I'm sure the thing gets several whole miles to the gallon too.

Share your thoughts. And post pictures of other useless American products too. There are so many, and I think we could all use some humor in our lives.

The stock AB Biller tip, absolutely useless.

Flavor Flav, yup you guessed it, useless!

The Head Stretch thingy???? Not kidding! This is a real product, and yes, it is totally useless.

Just to beat JTKwest to it, the paralyzer tip.

Finally, the most useless thing right now. Me! for wasting everyone's time with this useless thread.

That funky-looking Jeep actually does have a purpose. It's hardly a crucial one to everyday life, but a turning radius like that can be extremely helpful for offroad driving.

True useless products - almost all of the marketed musicians and actors that we're bombarded with in the media. Worse than useless, in my opinion :)

roflThat Jeep reminds me of Oddball's tanks in Kelly's Heroes, which would reverse much quicker than advance. Made a lot of sense when up against Tiger tanks.:D

Yeah, and they were accustomed to shooting their targets with paint loads instead of live ammo, and playing "Working on the Railroad" while attacking train depots :D

I was watching video "Cars of Dubai". Some Sheik is presenting his toy and daily driver at the same time - some tuned Mercedes SL by AMG and reporter asks him, "why would You need 12 cylinders, 750 horse power and 1100 lb ft of torque?" Guess the answer - "Oh yes, I need it"
I guess in the same way, many proud owners would need such a Jeep.

Funny you mention Dubai. Here is the DIAMOND COVERED MERCEDES the prince of dubai's car. But to be fair, the entire car isn't all diamond, some of it is covered in other gems as well. I mean you wouldn't want to be too gaudy. And that SL 6.3 AMG isn't just regular, that's right, it's chrone plated. And the small chrone plated Benz, that's an SLR McLaren, the standard price tag for which is around $600,000 US. Not sure what the chromed out version costs.

I'd love to be around when that guy gets in a fender bender!

Salt on roads during Winter up here. Rusts our cars and serves very little purpose. Sand and gravel works just fine!
Not to mention makes for a dangerous month of motorbiking every Spring until it is removed >8^(

An all chrome car - how American! But there really should be some gold plating on the badge & trim;).

[Having gone to all that trouble & expense, it's really odd that they didn't chrome plate the alloys in that middle picture too:confused:]

Chocolate Fire Guards, they’d be pretty useless.:D
And Chocolate teapots. (Where does that come from? Heard it a lot around the same time as everybody started talking about things "going pear-shaped" and bad things being "pants").

Somerset/Cheese-oriented trivia: did you know that that the term "ploughman's lunch" was invented by a brewery/pub marketing executive in the 1960s/70s, after he was offered bread & cheese in a pub that had stopped serving food.

i love this thread, however, the head strecher, is useful to some. I have a buddy who herniated three discs in his neck and got one of those home traction things and it has been a blessing and a half for him.....I still mock him everytime, but it is useful to at least ONE person

Now if they could just combine the head stretcher with a budgie smuggler we`d be in business.

What use would anyone have for a 'head smuggler'? vbg

Nooooooo! I had a mental image of what the 'buggie stretcher' would look like. :blackeye
