Ive been using International 2 part yacht varnish on my guns and was thinking of checking out something else?

Something strong which also gets a good finish. Obviously must be good for marine.

Ive heard a lot about West System, is it any good? If so, what should I be looking for?

I use estapol 7008 2 pack on my guns. I had some left over from a floor finishing job. Its been on for about 3months still looks like new after about 5 dives. very hard wearing it has been on my hardwood floor for 9 years and shows no signs of wear.

Wow. Is it an epoxy or varnish?

I was thinking of using West System 105, 205 3 coats and then finish off with mkre coats of 207

It is a 2pack Epoxy. I saw it mentioned with good reviews on a boat building forum so it sh0uld be suitable for a marine application. I have used marine varnish in the past and it wears off very quickly where spear touches the gun. I think epoxy is the go. I gave it 4 coats on the track and 3 coats on the gun body.
