I wanted to see how the new BlueTec 'Blade' fin performs so I got one of my training partners to gopro a few pool swims. There is a detailed breakdown of bi-fin stereo kick at the end, mostly to help some of the guys I dive with who had technique questions.

Enjoy!

Nice video!

Really great video! Thank you for posting.
What flex are the blades and how did you decide on that?
Thanks!

These are medium blades. I am going to demo some stiffer blades once Petros (Spear America) gets another shipment in. I am in the minority in that I prefer blades on the stiffer side, especially for spearing. I do mostly vertical swimming, no surface finning, and I like to have a lot of torque to overcome extra drag. I did a little spearing last weekend in these and they felt pretty good some on some deepish ascents (30M+) but I missed the downpunch of my old fins, which were C4 40's in Omer pockets, very cruel but sturdy and reliable for me.

I feel like the BlueTec's run a little bit soft compared to some other brands.
