I set this record last year (previous record was held by a synchro swimmer who did 28 then had a BO), 'most consecutive underwater somersaults on a single breath'. I'd been contacted to better it in Italy but it looks like that has fallen through. Probably not going to an AIDA comp anytime soon but it's the kind of thing that is possible and entertaining (?) on TV. In short, pretty goofy stuff, but things have been slow lately, so for your enjoyment:

Note: Per GWR association, weights are not allowed (of course it would be easier to be neutral), and it has to be performed in an enclosed tank, and the attempt ends if any part of the body breaks the surface of the water.

Nice work! Here in Brisbane we heard about one of the records a while back and I decided to give it a crack one night. I got up to (I think) 20 or 21 before I swum straight into the pool wall and then spent the next 10 minutes dry heaving on the side of the pool. Respect!!

Hah, yeah, it is rather unfun discipline because all the spinning excaberates the CO2. Limiting factor is just crashing into stuff/breaking the surface.
