Hi,

just a short question whether i am right with my idea or not.

I am trying to find out my maximum working time in apnea to see what pace i'd have to go for some deeper dives.
The problem now is i do not really want to force a blackout in the water and when i try to do walking apnea to see at what time my legs would fail, i stop because of contractions not because of dizziness or lactic muscles.
( jep i have to train my mental strength but thats something else )

When i do walking apnea with medium hyperventilation to delay the contractions i would be able to train the muscles a lot more effective and would be able to see my max apnea time if i have to stop because of lactic muscles or samba.

That should give me a good estimation about the time. If there is anything wrong, then the fact that real divetime with no hyperventilation and dive reflex should be longer than anything i can perform like that.

Is that true or do i miss something ?

Tommy

Excellent way how to break some bones, on my mind. People rarely speak about it, since they are not too much proud about it, but accidents at dry training apparently happen more frequently that one would think. Just a few weeks ago an unnamend French champion broke a collarbone when she blacked out, and fell from a static bycicle, hence she had to cancel her WC participation. But this case is far to be isolated.

thats true but i would have someone to watch over me during that ..... dry buddies are a lot easier to get than dive opportunity with a proper safety...
