I am looking for pictures & stories from deeper blue members of their fresh water catches, the best ones may well be used in a new feature soon to appear on our forum.
I would really like to see some specimen freshwater fish, carp, catfish any thing that relates to a big fish of the species.
Please put you links here or send me a pm.
Thanks Mart.

Has to be speared mate, I thought there were a few big carp being caught?
What about wide mouth bass?

All freshwater, 1st pic is Burbots and a Pike, second is 13lb Pike, 3rd is a 5lb Splake.

Thanks for posting a reply Erik. Do you have a weight for the biggest burbot? I enjoyed that thread about "Lawyer" fish.

Dave

I don't OMD, but I'd estimate at about 8lbs.

My black bass (micropterus salmoides) caught in Lake Garda was 9.92 lbs (kg 4,5). I don't know if i's a record by it was fairly big. I have pics and a nice story. Do you think it's worth it?

Holy crap! that is a HUGE BASS! I'd definitely like to see and hear about it.
I'm a bad judge of size underwater - usually the fish are larger than I think
they are, but I doubt I've seen a smallmouth (what we call black bass) that big.
I've got lots of pictures of freshwater types on my site - our spearing laws are stupid - only Carp and Suckers can be speared - and I will only shoot what I'll eat, which not them - but you are welcome to any images you want.

Is that "rod and line" or speared?
Would be happy to see rod-caught specimens on the "Sea Angling for Spearos" thread - turns out some spearos are very accomplished anglers.
