Warm water wetsuit config opinion sought

I'm looking into a wetsuit for when I get to leave Canada to someplace warm / inviting like Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico and hopefully one day Egypt!

I'm addicted to the hydrodynamics of a smoothskin outer (as I have in my 5mm Canadian suit), but want a lining for durability with a thinner 3mm suit.

I may also be doing some spearing and out of water warmth is not an issue. The obvious answer is a camo Lycra lining (because camo looks cool).

BUT, if I go to dean's blue hole or Dahab / Sharm, I will want that hydrodynamic advantage back (for that extra hard-earned meter)

My thought: what about a reversible suit that's Lycra camo on one side and "mesh" on the other??

Has anyone ever worn mesh neoprene against their skin and can comment on its warmth and / or comfort?

More common config: any experience / thoughts are welcome!

3mm. Smooth-skin on one side, lycra on the other.

For depth freediving (dean's blue hole, Dahab, etc) I'd have the smoothskin out for hydrodynamics and for spearfishing I'd reverse the suit.

I've never had smoothskin against my body. I assume it'd require lube, almost like open-cell... But is it comfortable / warm??

Personal opinion
It's a little easier to put on (with water or lube), isn't quite as warm, and is tougher than open cell, and is almost as comfortable.
I would say closer to open cell than lycra or nylon.
