Been lurking around a bit and this forum has a lot of helpful stuff here. I've been out of the water,,, dry docked because of work,,, for about 5yrs now. I hope I remember how to dive! I'll be spending my tax return on new gear as I gave away all of my old gear,,, should have never done that.

I'm looking to return to the water with a Riffe Euro model but can't make up my mind if I want the standard or "X" model. How much of a difference between the two? I'm guessing it'll only be a tracking improvement with the X. I usually stay inside of 60' so I'm probably going with the 100cm or 110cm. Anyone with personal experience with either gun is more than welcome to share their take on it.

After pricing out the gear at the local dive shop here on Maui I know I'll be dropping some serious cash,,, I shudder to think of what I gave away!

Hope I get a chance to post some pics in the near future.

aloha from Maui,
Kawika
