Hi
I just received a pair of waterway nemo fins - I tried them last night and they feel alot more springy and snappy than my sporasubs both on the surface and up and down...pretty swift up from the bottom.
Anyway the footpockets on the sporas are 44-46 and fit fine with socks.
The Nemo footpockets are 44-45 and are tight across the toes (just behind at the widest part of the foot). The length is good.
Has anyone sucessfully stretched a pair of footpockets ?
Any tips ? Hot water ? Hot air ?
Or will this knacker them....
Basically they fit fine bare foot but as the water is hovering at 9.5C / 10C I am keen to preserve my extremities.
I could use the sporasub footpockets.
However the Nemo FP's are a single hole and the Spora FP's are two holes.
I would have to drill two holes - not a problem but does anyone think that this would weaken the fin blade ?
They would then have three holes across the blade...
Might be best as then I could switch for when the water gets warmer.
Any suggestions ?
Cheers
Ed
(PS - I got them from a shop in Germany that Veronika here on the forum recommended - #2 stiffness - cost me £73 all said and done to the door (blades/footpockets/postage) - pretty sweet I think !)
