WC in Sharm ???

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
To echo the call, is there a WC in Sharm this year?

When is it going to be held, cost?

When will be a website put up?

Who is organising it?

Does anyone haven any information?

Thanks,

Kars

Hey, really, i feel like the "invisible man" here!!
Is it possible that no one except Kars and i are interested in one of the two most important events in freediving this year??? lasting only 4 1/2 months???
May be it's not going to happen, if that's the answer, i think that the freediving community should be in advice...
In my case, for example, i'm looking for sponsorship to go there, what if i find some interest?? i can't show anything, not a web page, not a confirmation, not a registration fee....nothing....

yes, there are some basic details on the AIDA site, it will be hosted by Apnea Academy (which seems odd!) and features CW and CWNF

Each country can send 3 men and 3 women for each discipline as well as the top ten male and female at each discipline in the world

I have asked about minimas but no reply yet

Sam

This info have been sent out 2007-04-10... and here it is again:

Sharm el Sheikh - October 24th to 4th of November:

3 Women and 3 Men in each discipline per National AIDA.
+ The Top Ten athletes from the AIDA Ranking list 2006 in each discipline as well. This means some countries could have more than 3 athletes per discipline.

The Top Ten athletes are automatically qualified to participate and there are no performance minima for any athletes.

...you also find it under info at our website.

hosted by Apnea Academy - Egypt, yes! (why is this odd?)

regards
/B

Thank you, Sam and Bill, i knew that info, but is really strange for me that nothing has been told by now, just take a look at the other WC in Maribor, there is web page, if i want to ask something i have a contact, registration fee, accomodation, etc, etc...But i don't want to make a big deal of this, i will asume that is going to happen and will keep trying to find the money to go...thank tou very much for answering...

Bill has just posted the link to the requested website under a new topic:

4th Individual World Championship

The basic information is there, though it's not up to the H2O-team level.
I think the H2O team is really putting much peoplepower and energy in it, and it's going to be awsomely good organised!

Thank you!

Love Peace and water!
