Today would have been her Birthday..i cant say i was very close to her, i had only joined for a few months before her and her Husbands passing..God bless their souls..

I was not fortunate enough to have known them. I joined DB in the fall of 2007 and came across posts here and there mentioning their names. Their lives ended far to soon. Sounds like they loved and were loved by lots of people here. Their love for one another and those around them is very special. RIP

That's what it says under Alison's DB username. It is so simple and absolute, so apt. However, it would take many, many more words to even begin to describe Alison. She was such a vibrant person, full of humour and life. She shared her triumphs and mishaps with equal aplomb and zest. It was a joy to be on the forums with her, though it was just for a short time.

Happy Birthday, Alison. We miss you.
