week distance shot!

i have problem with distance of shot? i am using my home made speargun with 80cm. i have attached 2 band? please tell me 2 band length must be same? or what should i have to do for long shot?
 
You might have to experiment with a home made gun to find the best band set up.
You could find that a single band works better, the new type of 14mm bands with a full 3.5 x stretch are very popular at the moment.
