hey guys,
I'm looking for a few pics on weight belt setups to see if i can get a few ideas on what i need for my new weight belt setup. I have a very basic belt for my summer (3mm wetsuit) and figured i'd get another one for my winter (5mm wetsuit+gloves+socks) setup so i dont have to take it apart and mess around with it to add or subtract weight every time. Also i've seen a few quick release home made jobs on other forums and thought "thats a great idea, what else are people doing?" Anyways, lets see some pics and possibly new ideas...

I've got a basic marsailles rubber weight belt with four 1KG blocks on it and two "D" rings at each hip for attaching my stringer. (This is also my SCUBA belt so I don't like messing with it). The rest of the weight goes in my Seac weight vest. This way I can remove the weights if needed from the vest and leave the belt alone.
A weight vest is one of the best things you can buy in my opinion. It really saves the strain on your lower back on long swims, and is very comfortable.

Agreed with trelawney about the weight vest, it certainly does make it easier to adjust weights when using different suits. I personally use the same belt whether using my 5mm suit or my 3mm suit. The weight belt is set up for the 3mm suit as I mostly use my 5mm suit for shallow water winter night diving. But I've learnt to either relax better or hold onto seaweed etc when using my 5mm suit in any depth.

Another option may be to consider these weights, seems a really good concept to me and ideal for varying depths or different suits
