Quick question for you seasoned springs divers. When diving the freshwater springs without a wetsuit is it best to use any weight?

Well I have only dived in a couple of springs, and with suit. All i can say is:
- you of course need less weight than in the ocean
- try without weight and see if you like it
- it depends on how deep you plan to go and your abilities
- never start with too much weight, on a neutral lung (not inhaled and not exhaled) your airways (nose and mouth) should float well clear of the water when you are upright
- it depends on your body, I know those who sink at the surface with a full lung, no lead and a suit, I also know of very floaty people with the opposite
- dive safe with some buddies and have fun
