Not too bad... but since I was offered the c-4000 & housing as a present, I decided to make do with my current 4mp Olympus D-40, getting this housing for it & using the rest of my gift budget for a new speargun.... like I don't already have enough :hmm

Any thoughts, good or bad? Only problem I see is that this camera is tiny so I'll probably have trouble with 5mm gloves... & this model takes 2 batteries instead of 4, so life may be an issue. Regardless, I think it'll be a nice starting point.

It's all in the pics! :D I don't see why it would be a bad decision for a freediver. Most all Oly's are quite good at U/W photography. Good luck!

Only major difference I could see between this & the 4040 was the 1.8 vs. 2.8 low-end settings... not sure how much of a difference that makes - might be very helpful in these dirty waters

should affect your focusing abilities a tad, but unless you're shooting macro, I don't think you'd be able to notice much difference.

so, do you have the housing yet? make sure you post pics! :D

well, I'll be testing it in the pool today :)

we've been target practicing, so I'll take some shots of our setup :hmm
