I found a suit but not sure if it will work for spearfishing.
Separate pant bibs and long sleeved shorty top.
What do you think?

i never liked this kind of suit...
but the best suit for you is the one in wich you can fill better...
personally i prefer the one piece suit, with the zipper on the back...[the one in my avatar image]

It will do, but it's not the best. But most of us started in something similar. If your water's not too cold then you'll be fine.

It's a 7mm suit from Fathom.
The water in wisconsin is ok. But Lake Mich. is cold.
The 7mm should work?

Yes it'll be ok amigo. In fact you might be too hot if it's a sunny day, breathing at the surface. That's a scuba suit I think. There are lots of reasons why a freedive suit is better, but get out and start shooting fish anyway :)
Probably the worst thing about those suits is the water that will run down your back (no attached hood) and the zipper, which allows water to pump through the suit. "Wet" suits work better when they're only wet on the outside.

it depend on your tipe
for example i hate warm waters [and the black sea is a tempered-cold water]
if the water reach 20 degrees celsius, i put the 3mm shorty suit
with 5mm long suit i stay normally 2 hours in a 12 degrees celsius water [hunting turbots in aprill] and i did 5 hours in a 15 degrees celsius water
but again...i hate warm waters and to stay in the sun...cold waters is what i enjoy the most, and for me, a 5mm wetsuit will do for most of the waters....

Well I had a suit I was looking at but did not fit.
I’m looking for a spearfishing suit for around $150.00 - $200.00.
I’ve checked online but there are so many.
I know a custom suit would be best but the money isn’t there right now.
I’m selling my Paintball gear to start spearfishing (freediving).
I live in Milwaukee, WI and will be diving in area lakes as well as lake Michigan.
Any help would be great.
