I'm getting a 3mm wetsuit and don't know how much weight ill need. i use 4 pounds (2 kg) of weight without a suit how much do i need with the suit. I'm getting a basic 2 piece 3mm wetsuit.
Thanks, Will

The suit might give you another 2 or 3 pounds of buoyancy, but there's really no way to accurately say, since everybody is different. You'll have to configure your weighting yourself once your suit comes. Hope that helps.

Just to add a little to the above advice; take the suit to a pool and find out how much lead it takes to barely make it sink. If you add half that lead to your belt the suit buoyancy will be neutralized at 33 feet. That's a good depth to be neutral at until you're diving deeper than 100 but most spear fishermen like a few pounds more. My three suits require 7 to 10 pounds to sink or 3 to 5 more on the belt.
