I'm 6'3" 6'4" weighing 205 lbs, kinda tone. Well my question is:

What brand and size wet suit would fit really well for me? Maybe you or a friend are around the same size as me and found the perfect wet suit..

I don't mind spending 300-400 bucks if it's going to last and be a great fit!

order a custom Elios. Can't be beat and the price is very reasonable for what you get.

Seems like if I go that route, shipping might be pretty expensive? About how much do they charge for a suit?

If you want I to last a long time and be durable, a nylon outer layer is important.

If you want a great fitting custom suit at 1/2 the price, Aqualand wetsuits from Greece are a great bargain and tremendous value.

Yeah that's a real good price! I'm still looking around, but I really might consider Aqualand

Thanks for the suggestions!

Shipping to the US will add considerably to the price of an Elios, have to ask them. There are lots of other suit makers out there, and they often make good suits, but there is always a "gamble" factor in ordering from a maker without a long and well reviewed history. What is that worth? Up to you, but don't discount it. Gamble and lose on a purchase like this stays annoying for a long time.

If you end up ordering an Elios, they will probably give you the option of government mail or a shipping company like DSL or FEDX. Take the private company. Its more expensive, but the BS and delays the goverments make your package go through will make you crazy.

Hi tycoonelyk,
How about a 3mm Oceaner Rec45 which have a very durable lycra finish. Web price with a custom package is 629. We manufacture on the west coast of Canada so shipping to US is not a problem we do it weekly. Typically, there is a three week construction turn around time.
All the Best,

Oceaner Liz

Just wanted to add that we have been manufacturing neoprene suits since 1983 and freedive suits since 2004. We make a lot of suits for competitors and instructors. Check out our website Welcome to Oceaner...

I've looked at your company before (I saw someone on a Youtube video diving with one of your suits) but it's a few hundred more than I'd like to spend..

This will be my first suit and I'm not really experienced in free diving, so in a couple years when I'm a lot better, then I'll go with the top notch suit and fins.

So the Aqualand wet suit at $200 or the Elios at around $300 would be perfect for what I'm looking for

My Elios was close to $500. Knowing what I now know, I'd get the Aqualand for 1/2 the price. Many people in my local club have them and with proper measurements turn out great.

I could get a 3, 5 and 7mm suit for the price of a top-tier competition suit!

If and when you are looking for a higher end product. Consider an Oceaner suit as all our suits are made to order. They are individually cut and hand crafted by an extremely experienced and talented production team in Canada. No aspect of the work is done off shore. You can decide on your own colour combinations and accent with a logo design of your own or that of a sponsor if you have one.

Yeah I'll definitely be contacting them then! I'd obviously get a 3 mm since I live in Florida.

Thank you for your help sir!
