Hey guys!

I am after some advice regard some wear and tear on my wetsuit, the wetsuit is a Tiki Prodigy Heated 6/5/4 Steamer, it is approx 18months old, I mainly use it for bodyboarding but have recently started using it to go spearfishing.

Lately I have noticed bit of the wetsuit that are damaged and I am worried that if left they may become un-repairable.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend ways of repairing, materials/glues and where I may be able to get hold of them.

Many thanks for your time guys!

This shows my main concern, this is the chest area, you can see the red material inside the split.

This show the inside of the chest area but I cannot seem to find any evidence of a split.

Can this be sorted? (Left leg)

Left Arm

Neck Area

And again

This is the stuff you want:

product_page_scuba | McNett Europe

and

black witch neoprene - Google Product Search

However, it's not really going to fix that delamination of the layers too well. It's ideal for the seams and stuff - in fact, I've found it to be stronger than the original seam.

The layers coming apart - I wouldn't worry about that too much. That red is there so the wetsuit doesn't stick to your skin, and feels soft against you. I'd cut it off where those large sections are coming apart and just wear a rash vest under the wetsuit.

Hope that helps.

Thanks whiteminiman, I've ordered some black witch, I have seen this stuff before but never used it I assume by reading the product description that it can be used for most nicks, cuts and tears? Also do you know if it has any strech/flex once dried?

Oh thats good news about the layers, I think what was happening was when I put all my gear in a box to wash out the velcro from the boots kept catching the suit!

Yep it's flexy once it's dry.

For little nicks and things like that - you can just blob some on to stop it from getting any worse, hold it for a few minutes until it's started to set... and Bob's your uncle.

After a few years, you end up with spots of it all over your suit.

Velcro and wetsuits simply do not mix. :-(

At the end of the day I don't mind a few spots here and there as its better than having to buy a new suit!
