Hello,

A lot of freediving and spear fishing time is spent bobbing about, waiting, being relaxed or keeping very still; all of these would leave you susceptible to getting cold. When choosing a wetsuit for more continuous fin swimming as might be encountered when Hydrotouring, especially in the UK, how much of a difference does sustained activity make on the thickness of the suite you need? I've read that in milder conditions some people 'cook' in a 5mm suit. I guess that would get worse if you were finning hard for a good deal of time, wouldn't it?

Hi Phillip. For that sort of thing you might want to look into triathlon suits. They are generally geared toward higher exertion.
