Am interested in buying a new pair of fins,

im looking at either the Picasso Black team or the cressi-sub Gara 3000, or anything else in a similar price range.

opinions?

:)

If you don't have narrow feet don't buy the garas. I have average feet (definitely not wide) and they are tight and uncomfortable. Other than that they are great fins...and at a good price.

I mostly use a monofin now, but I do own a pair of picasso black teams, They are a descent basic fin and built like a tank-come with a lifetime gaurantee, not tried the cressi's yet. Ideally if you can find a shop, try them on and get the best fitting one. The picasso has a rather stiff pocket which I like, usually use booty's with them.

I'm pleased with my Cressi-Subs, and the price was hard to beat. I have narrow feet and use TYR fin boots with them.

^ yeah what they said^
It comes down to fit above all else. Sporasub, Mares, Beauchat, OMER, Cressi, Picasso all make a good plastic fin. The advantage of some is that the footpockets are separate and you could upgrade to better blaeds.

I really like my blackteams. I think they are excellent for what I do....lots of diving on rock bottom. They seem to hold up well and the warranty says something for the quality. I got mine for about 120usd. The blades are also changeable.

Cressi by far, you can't do better for the price. try them on at a dive shop first because they wear a little big. but buy on ebay, i got mine shipped for $90 new. plus they are great fins

hope it helps
