What happened to Lunocet Monofins?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Thanks Noa. At this point, anything would be okay. Just something. I've already requested my money back. That has failed. I've requested an update on the shipping status. That has failed. The only option that seems left to me is litigation, which (being Canadian) is not my first option. But at this point, I've got the disposable income and may do it just out of principle. I may not get my money back, but it will end up costing Lunocet more than shipping me the product I paid for.

And again, had I been impatient, impolite, or dishonest, I might understand the brush off, but I have all the emails to prove I've acted in good faith.

It's a pretty sad business practice, really.

Dear Jean C.

I am sorry for dropping the ball on you and getting you caught up in the revision process. I never deliberately ignore an email from a customer. I receive around 200 emails a day and some days I am on the shop floor until late at night so they can pile up. I thought I had taken care of everyone waiting on the revisions from the 2012 model. I am staffing up presently and hope to resolve this issue. Customer service is very important to me and I am placing more focus on this and production now that the lunocet is has reached an outstanding state of performance. Again, I apologize for the inconveniences and I understand your frustration. I would feel the same way. I have sent you a tracking number today for the new 2014 model along with a check for a refund at the current special price ($349). I hope this swings your regard for the lunocet in a more positive direction and thank you for being an early supporter.

If there are others that need to contact me regarding similar urgencies

Ted Ciamillo

I'm happy Ted is responsive, and I'm happy that the DB forum exist. I hope the new model is indeed more efficient and receivers write, video a review of it, including comparisons.

I could not imagine replying with substance to 200 emails a day.

I'm happy for this forum as well. Ted has contacted me personally yesterday and is taking steps to resolve this issue. I'm prudently optimistic--I've no doubt he has good intentions, but there's a bitter sense of deja-vu because I've been here before. If all pans out, however, I will gladly return to this forum and update everyone on my progress with Lunocet.

Hello all! This is the crew of Vortex Spring. We will be holding a Demo Day for the Lunocet on November 30th 2013
You can find more information at our web site vortexspring.com or on our facebook Vortex Spring Inc. We have camping and lodgings on site for anyone traveling a distance who would like to stay onsite. This will be our first demo, but not our last. We will also do a Thanksgiving Dinner that day as part of the fun, so if you plan to partake please bring something...sodas, green beans, rolls, or whatever.
Call us at 850-836-4979 if you have any questions not answered online.

Hey all,

I'm thrilled to report that my Lunocet arrived last week and it looks great. Ted made good on all his promises, including a generous refund as a form of apology for all the trouble I went through. I was hoping to try it at the Olympic pool (I live next to the Montreal Olympic Stadium), but I'm afraid they just closed it (late October) until end of 2014. But hey, that'll just give me an excuse to go down south during the Xmas period.

So thanks Ted, I really appreciate you coming through in the end. The product looks amazing and I can't wait to get into the water with it.
