I'm doing a presentation in one of my classes on spearfishing as an outdoor recreational activity. There are so many things to cover that I am having difficulty narrowing it down. What do you guys think I should include? I plan to cover...

Laws - I will have a copy of the Fish & Game Code pamphlet that includes spearfishing regulations
Equipment selection, proper usage, & care
Safety - not pushing your limits, equipment safety
Basic apnea - relaxation, breath holding, equalization, descent, buddies

That seems like enough for a very basic informative session. Any other suggestions?

First and foremost, ...........Conservation!!!!!!!

Spearo's are selective, size up the fish first, and harvest only what they eat. I could go on (even write the report for you) but it is midnight and I am beat. You know what to do.

:)

Indeed its the most selective type of hunting...
