What size wetsuit is best

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Hi I'm going to buy the cressi tecnica camo wetsuit any advice what thickness is best for uk waters 5 mm or 7 mm ?
 
5mm will do for the spring summer and autumn you'd only need a 7 if you wanted to dive in the winter or Norway etc

Price out a custom made suit in comparison to an off-the-rack cressi one.

Yes, Elios and Oceaner are a lot more $$$, but there are other European providers that are competitive with off-the-rack / mass produced suits.

I'm just not sure why ppl buy off the rack when a custom can be had for the same amount, which inevitably will fit better and thus let less water in / be warmer.
