i have recently been looking at some Cressi gara 3000s and the different sizes. on my current school shoe it says its a size 14USA or 49EUR. but i still have about 1cm space at the top of shoe. Would i need to get the size 47 fin or would i need some space between the fin and my foot with a sock or something and get a bigger fin?

sorry if i dont make much sense but i dont know how to ask this question.

thanks in advance

Your fins should fit firmly with atleast a 3mm sock if you dive in cold water. Too much play on the foot pocket can result in chafing and loss of your fins if you go through surf to get to your preferred dive spot.
