Gday mate, I just bought a seac asso 115 from diveimports for $295 which are located on scarborough beach rd.
Not sure if that is the length u want as might be a little long for reefs but they do a range of sizes there.

What part of perth u from North or South and were do u normally dive?

Hope that helps....Jamie

hey james
is rhe asso any good? how long is it because i think i would have trouble loading it hahah, i live in south perth in leeming area, i dont really know any good dive spots but i some times spearfish at woodmans point (really bad place) and garden island, i can get through the gates
thats a grate help thanks

Well luckily for me my mate has a boat and we go around garden island a bit, but inthe 8-10 trips weve been on we havent landed anything descent at all
I find the asso good but it comes down to what u feel comfortable with. They do sizes which range from 50cm to 110cm so u can just go there and check them out for the right size.
I take it you were or are in the navy? to be able to get onto the island?

G'day Asantirims,
Any reason in particular for a pneumatic gun? I'm pretty happy using a rubber one in WA. Have used them in length from 1.1 to 1.4, prefer using my 1.4 now, but it can be a bit oversized for king george and harlies. For shore diving I would use a 1.0-1.1 around Garden.
I'm not convinced by camo wetsuits. I have one at the moment, but only because it was cheap for its quality and it fits me well. Best bet for spearing wetties is agros dive imports from over east. $320 to your door for a two piece 3mm, open cell, loading pad, good seals on arms and legs etc. He gets you to send him a heap of measurements and picks a suit for you.

Mongrel, try heading another few kms straight out the back of Garden to the 5 fathom bank. Not heaps of fish but the odd dhu, pink snapper, KG and queenies are found out there. Comes up to 5m in places, but lots of stuff in 15m. Best to head out while its still cray season and all the pots are there, makes ledges easy to find!

Happy hunting,
Cam
