What women wears?

I Felt bound to watch this to the end, words fail me totaly, i thought i had seen cruelty in Iraq, this is beyond what i thought humans are capable of in the name of Money. :rcard

Sick. :r

The things happening in the CIA, KGB, etc. secret camps are also very sick, it show utter contempt for God's creation. It shows a drastic lack of respect and selflove. And in case of the torture, it's just plain stupid and unprofessional.

I didn't finish watching either, quit at the undressing of a living being.

If you really love meat and milk don't watch the Frankensteer documentry.

There are a lot of things very wrong in this world, it's key to be knowledgeble about it and then you have a choice to do the right thing. Spread the knowledge and things will change when critical mass is obtained. It's like Gandi said: first they ignore us, than they laugh about us, then we win.

Thanks for the post dude, another piece in the puzzle.

Love, Peace and water!

Kars.

i saw a newspaper article about Cherie Blair appearing in public in a rabbit fur... i thought it was humorous at the time.. but after seeing that link... :yack

You really should watch to the end, the animals that are being tortured are still alive when they tear the skin off, its beyond comprehention.

That is beyond discusting!!!

They should atleast kill them in a humane way and not amputate them and skin them while they are still alive! :rcard

I hope the same thing will happen to the guy that kills them! :vangry

Really harrowing.
Reminds me on the 'fresh-markets' in China where they skinned chickens alive.
They kept blinking and breathing for quite some time.

Disgusted,
Sascha

Our 'Far Eastern' friends generally have a poor record when it comes to animal cruelty but that was a real shock to watch. Sickening.

First of all, yes, that is wrong and sick way to do it... but....but..

...before throwing stones at others, maybe we shall look at ourselves??

Have you ever seen video about chickens and KFC for example? Do you honestly believe that all the meat/fish/poultry that you buy at grocery store were killed in humane way (heh, sounds ridiculous in itself - "killed in humane way"). Half of this message board spearfish for example. Haven't you heard that fish fill pain too?
Oh, and what does it have to do with "what women wear"?? So, it's bad for women to wear fur, but ok for men to wear leather?? Heck, almost anyone has something made of leather (boots, cloths, wallets etc.) and I don't hear cries of outrage about it.

I've been a vegetarian for several years, worked with different "green" organizations and just thought about it a lot. There's just too much hypocrisy.

Well, have to get back to work :(
Just one more time, before throwing stones at others, think and look at the way WE live.

Saw a doccumentary about the fur industry a decade or so ago with similar (and much more varried) horrors. Those things used to happen EVERYWHERE till not so long ago (and I'm sure still happens in some western countries). Thinking horrors happen only in strange and far cultures is quite wishful. I'm pretty sure there are geese being fed through a hose and calfs being grown in boxes somewhere in western europe nowdays.

I've long-sinced learned that most who jump on the soapbox re: this issue (no fur, no meat, no milk, etc) are destined to become immediate hypocrites at some level. You simply can't not be. Some aspect of everyone's life has been achieved through the direct or indirect destruction of other members of animal kingdom. It is absolutely unavoidable.

That said, I believe that there is one guiding, rational principle to abide by. Something all humans should be able to agree upon, regardless of background, culture, lifestyle. If an animal CAN suffer, and we are in control of that animal's fate, then it is our responsibility to make sure it suffers as little as possible. For those animals consumed by humans (in one fashion or another), death is ineludibe - excessive pain is not.

Those men in the video could have just as easily ended the lives of those animals quickly, and painlessly. They chose not to; to the point that they ceased to be indifferent, and chose to be cruel. I know this because as a hunter (and person with a brain), I'm aware that it is much easier to "clean" a dead animal than a live one. To inconvenience yourself by leaving an animal alive during such a process, in order to gain pleasure through its suffering, is a true testament to your own nature. And if there is justice in the afterlife, you can be sure that the hottest spots are waiting for these people.

So, in short, I wouldn't tell you not to buy fur. But, I will tell you not to buy if from those A$$HOLES!!

Khel and unirdna both have a point. Everyone should be concious of the consequences of their actions. Then again there is always room for improvement in one's lifestyle, so accusing others is not wise. Different life situation give different possibilities to act enviroment friendly.

When furs are considered one should remember that most of the fur is used as decorations in normal winter jackets. So if someone was appalled by that video, it might be worthwhile to ask about the origin of the fur used in a jacket one is buying...

Lastly, here's a video clip that could be a little less disgusting :)

That's a pretty good link. I took a class in college that dealt with modernized agriculture, and the info is pretty accurate. Best of all, it offers facts and not overblown emotional reactions. Thanks.

100% Pro Fur. complety. anybody that decides to throw red paint on me for wearing fur or leather better be bigger, tougher or faster then me.

on the otherhand, the way they are treating those animals is not right. a good strike or two with a club is more then enough to quickly and humainly dispatch a furbearing animal.

it's in everyone's best interest to know where their meat, fur, and the like come from. Ask most hunters why they hunt.

Way to go Ted! It is so refreshing to hear someone making a rational and proper assumption about human nature. Finally looking intelligently at the middle ground, not the two extremes. Thanks for the well thought out post, I agree with it completely. If only more people like you voted in this country. :D Till later...
