Just bought an Orca Equip Lite wetsuit. Also bought the small $5 bottle of wetsuit shampoo from the LDS. Is there an equally effective but less expensive way to go?

I use my liquid laundry detergent from Costco- the same stuff I use in my front loading washing machine. I turn the suit inside out, saturate a sponge with the detergent, and rub it on the suit. Then I hang it inside out, preferably in the shade, rinse, and dry.

I've never had a rash, and it doesn't smell like urine when I first put it on.

I usually rinse my suit and hang it but last time I used it some kind of mold/fungus/mildew (take your pick) must have invaded the hood and I was scrathching my head the whole time. It was almost unbearable. I treated it with some bleach. I don't know if it worked but I'll know this Sunday.:blackeye

Bob, I'll bring some suitslip to the pool next Wed. try it.
