What's the best most durable and comfortable monofin?

How small of feet? I have sizes down to Euro 36 for the Pilot series monofins. I think these will outlast just about anything else on the market.

If you are looking for comfort, good performance, and extreme durability, the Dol-fin Pilot is without peer. Nothing else comes close.

If you are looking for hyperfin performance and extreme durabilty, the Dol-fin Orca2 is the top of the list.

I own a prototype Dol-fin that is very similar to the pilot. Perfectly comfortable even if worn for hours. I had a problem with the Orca2 fitting my semi deformed feet. Most people have no issues.

Small feet generally means small person who needs a small blade. If so, the Dol-fin foil can be custom sized to any width.

I still think a Pilot is the ideal match to your requirements, given your list of what you want from your monofin. However, if you are wanting a hyperfin that does as well as a hyperfin can match your requirements, I've heard many good things about Starfins and the Molchanovs. There are threads here on DB that talk about durability issues with the Leaderfins (search and read, then make your own decision). Though I think the WaterWays are fairly well received by the freediving community, I've seen quite a few broken Glide fins over the years. However, there are a lot more WW Glide fins out there than about any other brand also, so I think that's to be expected. I doubt WW could sell so many Glide fins if there was a design problem that fell in a realm outside of people's expectations for a hyperfin's durability.

Marcela, it depend upon your type of diving. If you are looking for a competition level fin - I recommend the Starfins Hyper or Smith Aerospace Dol-fin Orca. If you are a recreational diver - then the Waterway Nemo or Smith Aerospace Pilot. I have used all of these fins and am happy to chat with you about their virtues/vices.

I recently got a Leaderfins Hyper Carbon (mono), which is well crafted and comes with very reasonable price (ca 240 EURO + shipping). It has an anglge of 22 deg, so hydrodynamics is quite good for my taste. Being rather lean I chose a soft blade. Footpockets fit nicely well, even though the use of half-socks is recommendable. Perhaps not a top fin, but a good compromise for the recreational freediver.
