its funny how it works for parrots...they are tasty, yet fishing them varies all over the world,..in hawaii the parrot is a prize fish, elusive fast, very hard to fish...where i live if you shoot a parrot, its a sure sign of desparation..as they are quite easy to hunt over here unlike hawaii..i have tried eating it before and its quite tasty, a bit close to grouper...cleaning them is a Bi%ch though, very hard scales
Believe me, they were very easy to shoot in Hawaii when I lived there in 1961-1963. All I can conclude is that heavy pressure permitted only the wary ones to pass along their genes.
