As I managed to lose a bootie last time I was out - I need to buy some more for this weekend. Does anyone know where I can get some 5mm ones? I can only see 3mm ones!

If all else fails I'll have to get them from Apnea but with tax + express shiping they'll cost about £25+ :head

Anyone got any ideas? Need a size large!

If anyone wants chuckle... - I'm having a nightmare with damn boots! I've brought 3 pairs so far this year!

Pair 1 # Brought 5mm from Apnea in size Medium as I've got size 8 feet, WAY too small, wanted to send them back but my girlfriend stole them

Pair 2 # Didn't realise they had thick rubber soles... was going to send them back but the cat decided to piss on them

Pair 3 # Lost on a hiking trip... semi-serious. Had to walk around a mile+ back across fields and rocks carrying a giant rucksack full of gear, stove, pans etc, my suit, gf's suit, my weights, gf's weights, gun, 2 pairs of fins etc etc etc... not cool. Most likely lost when I tripped and fell down a rabbit hole and got squashed by the rucksack.

Just need to know if there's anywhere apart from Apnea where i can get some.

If all else fails, will accept donations :blackeye

Have you given thought to using surfing boots. I wear o-neill mutants 5mm and they are very good! thin but tough and very comfortable over rocks! cost 25-35 quid but worth every penny. I started spearing wearing this type of boot and got foot pockets to fit the boot..... id highly advise doing the same after all foot pockets are only 25ish quid!
Far far superior to neoprene socks or those terrible scuba type boots!

Thanks Ben - looks like an interesting idea... I bet they're great over rocks! Are you using them with open backed fins?

I've got Omer Millenium foot pockets on my fins - I don't think surf boots would fit?

Im wearing omer pockets too- the boots are quite thin they may fit your existing pocket or you may need to get slightly bigger pockets.

Boots like the o-neill should be available at all good surf shops.

Quick tip- getting hot feet into wetty boots in the shop can be tricky. so take a sandwich or freezer bag and put over foot before easilly slipping on the boot! same again for getting boot into pocket (take fin to surf shop with you)...

You may be ok with what you have or you may require bigger pockets ... id never wear those thin neoprene socks or diving clogs again!

Cool - cheers man - I'll check them out!

Like the tip for trying on boots! I tried on a pair at a shop a while ago, I didn't realise that the top half was open cell (stupid idea!) - ended up ripping the boot near enough in half... rofl

I take it that was pair number #4 then :)

Top tip. Send pair number 2 back. All wetsuit boots smell of cat piss rofl
