where freediving in New zealand?

Hi
my name is Aurora i am french coming from Nice. i have been freediving for ten years in competition and for fun.I am in New zealand for one month and of course i took a mask and a suit, but i didn't fix my monofin on my back pack. i really would like to freedive in north island and in south island. where? taupo lake? what about the sea shore? i heard that there are also spot to freedive with dolphins. can you help me and say where i should go? i can't wait to freedive in those new places.

lazy seals, bluefins, and no bubbles are all freediving clubs based in new zealand.. Looks like new zealand is quite popular for freediving. check a Google search for freediving new zealand.. tons of hits.. include the word spearfishing and there will be even more.
