Anyone aware of where Sebastien Murat is these days ? He seems to have somewhat disappeared from freediving...

Love to hear what he's doing!
Last time, if I recall correctly, he was in Sweden working on his slippery coating invention, with his family.

He generously gave very valuable diving information on FB about a year ago, and then dropped off the face of the earth. If anyone knows what he's up to, I would love an update.
I personally very much value individuals like him in the freediving community...

Breaking "laws" ? ? ?
Hi Kars,

Law-breaker = everything the purported shmexperts tell you can't be done or shouldn't be done. Evidently, nothing is as it seems, we humans are not (biologically) what we think we are. We are nothing but critters, albeit blind-stupid ones. How so? Ever wonder why we feel so compelled to hyperventilate? I have, and it always bugged the hell out of me, i.e., that's the 'law'. Well, the truth of it is that there's a very good physiological reason for it that no one presumably previously figured out, and it's the complete opposite of what what we've been told and teach. More on that in a couple of months, maybe :)

Best
S

PS: By the way, very sorry about 2012, I felt bad about for a long time. But you didn't miss a thing, not a thing.

Cryptic reply Sebastien :) - you know mystery is attractive :)
Personally I had the best dives with 'under ventilation', I guess it may have invoked a bit of that hibernation thing.

Yesterday was my 39th birthday, and I'm happy to report I got a few new dive buddies last year. My metabolism has slowed down, and my condition is a tat lower. Teaching the basics to newbees is nice, seeing them having fun and grow is very rewarding. My personal goal is to creep back up to my old pbs, and relearn the skills I had once more. The challenge is that now I have more hobbies, like (mountain) hiking and game design, and consequently I have still enough weaknesses to work on and polish ;)

No need to worry about the 2012 thing, you did refund my ticket fully and I think my simple Frog Flow video did and still doing fantastic.
No grudges here, however I would love to see and test what you've been exploring some day, the mystery is still calling ;)

ciao!
