Hey DB'ers...

I haven't been around as much recently and I wanted to firstly apologise and secondly explain.

On February 23rd 2010 I lost my father who passed away suddenly. This came as a great shock and despite his 84 years he had been very active and full of life right till the end. Since then i've been dealing with family matters and Dad's estate (which for anyone who has never had to do it is a very drawn out process!). As my Dad was from Ireland i've had to organise two funerals and various family functions which has been a real drain.

On top of all this I've got a great occasion coming up which is my wedding to Smurfette on 4th June 2010. I've been heavily involved in all the work around the wedding and despite my desire to have the whole DB staff and community at the wedding :friday you're going to have to settle with pictures and video i'm afraid :rcard

Finally - as if my life wasn't busy enough as it is, I also have a full time job outside of DB which actually pays the bills (it's only a dream that DB would!)

None of these are good excuses for neglecting this wonderful community so I apologise - however you have my commitment that i'll be around every day - even if only for 5 minutes. Luckily there are a tremendous staff here who I am proud to work with!

Anyway - i'm wishing everyone the best and see you around DB soon!

Wedding? That's women's work! Your only jobs are to make sure the soon-to-be-missus doesn't spend all your hard earned, and to turn up on the day :D

Now... Before I am shortly murdered, I wish you a fond welcome back! It's been a rough couple of months for you so think of this place as your refuge from it all.

Cheers mate

All the best with the Wedding Stephan, don't forget to enjoy it yourselves too!

Ruuuun, FOREST, ruuuun! joke!!! (from a 25 year married man myself). Best wishes and keep treading water on the other issues. +

My condolences to you, no age is the 'right age' to lose a loved one.
Also many congratulations on the forthcoming wedding, have yourselves a fantastic day.

Regards,
Dave.

It's so great to be married, Stephan. Go for it!

On 4th of June I will sacrifice a fish and raise my glass (in this order) for you and the lucky girl.

Best wishes!
