Which animal would you most like to have the powers of?

I guess the dolphin and fish will be winners. There are some that would be less popular, like the dragonfly nymph with its fart power, and the hagfish which ties itself in knots and turns the surrounding water to slime.

I think one of the most amazing is the crucian carp, which can live without oxygen for three months. Imagine the possibilities...

My choices:

Fly like a bird - would be nice but too many already consider me cuckoo, and the water are more interesting.
Breathe underwater like a fish - It's called SCUBA, boring.
Swim like a dolphin/seal/whale - That's definitely something I would use.
Run like a cheetah/greyhound/hare - I bet I would still be late to anywhere I go.
Have super senses - Have those already, sense of humour excluded.
Hold my breath for ages - included in the 'dolphin/seal/whale' so that's settling for less.
Something else - produce electricity like an electric eel/torpedo ray (don't know what I'll do with it but it gotta be a cool party trick!), spit venom like a spitting cobra (a good way to shut some poeple up), can I ask for special powers that Batman has? is he animal enough?
I am already superhuman - all freedivers are. (couldn't find a better comment, sorry)

P.S. Actually, I like Bush, it's a shame that he is interpreted as stupid. I don't think he is, though he does kind of present himself that way. But our opinions on Bush, the US, etc, are not the purpose of this thread.

I already have the memory of a goldfish, and it's far from superhuman. However the oxygen saved by not remembering things and not generating enough heat in the cold pool allows me to do longer statics.

I haven't decided on which one yet, and it's my own poll...

I am sure that if you could know the sea and the animals in it, and know what it feels like to stay down for 15 mins at a time, that would be the ultimate, not to mention that I am pretty sure Dolphins are extremely intelligent. Safe to say, I wish I were a member of that family and most free divers feel the same.

Has any one ever encountered dolphins during a dive?

Yep , had the shit scared out of me when I was stalking 2 fish and they took off, I hadn't made any funny moves so I was puzzled.
Looked around and there was a big bottlenose dolphin watching me.
I don't know about you but they are big wild animals and it scared the bejeezus out of me.

Yep! There is a pod of Spinners that goes from north to south every day nearly off the coast of Kailua-Kona and then comes back in the afternoon. We were inthe water when they were coming by one afternoon. They just pretended that we weren't there. They were having too much fun doing silly dolphin tricks like jumping out of the water and doing back flips. It was really cool and really funny all at the same time.

The dolphin gets my vote though..... although flying would also be VERY cool.....
