Which gun for my needs??

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I spoke to the dealer that I got the gun from and we have decided to use two 16mm 24" Riffe bands, with dyneema wishbones. I would just have to polish the groves on the shafts to accommodate the dyneema.

Diesel, were you able to rectify the problem with the gun as yet?

I am in Orlando now for a few days and have purchased a few stuff to better outfit the gun, from a store called Divers Direct. I got two Riffe 16m, 28.5" power bands with Dyneema wishbones. The original bands were 18mm and 32" long. I also got a 300lb test nylon Riffe line, to use as the shockline. I will be back home to test everything on Sunday, so I will update Sunday night.

I installed the riffe power band with dyneema wishbone on the 115 marlin, and the thing still is lazy like shit. The range is good but the spear just travels tooooo slow to actually hit consistently. I cannot even use both riffe bands at the same time, as the first band when loaded, sits too high above the spear for the other band to load at all. I give up on this gun...I guess I will be getting an AB Biller or a Riffe pretty soon .

Am sorry you were not able to rectify the problem with the gun, guess the only thing left to do is to sell it and buy another.

I have just received my Beuchat Marlin and will be trying it out somtime within the next two weeks so i will let you know what i think about it after i get a few shots off.

Is it the marlin competition with the single 18mm band? what size? I will try one more attempt at it by using a spare 8mm beuchat shaft that I got brand new when I bought parts for my other gun. I think maybe the other shaft on the marlin is bent slightly, and I will use my double 18mm bands that I never really used with the 6.75mm shaft. We will see when I give it one more shot this Sunday.

No I bought the new Beuchar Marlin 1150 length, it only has one 18mm band on it.

Strangly on the Beuchat website they say it comes with 16mm bands but mine came with 18.

ok I guess that can explain it but I do order directly through Beuchat france.

As soon as i try the gun I will let you know how it works.
