Help, don't know which gun to buy:

Seatec- Gabbiano elite 100
Seac Sub- X-FIRE 105
OMER- Excalibur 3000
OMER- T20 carbon
Beuchat- Mundial carbon elite
Imerson- Merou d'or carbone 105
Imerson- T4 100

They're all good. Hard to tell the best for you: it depends on your kind of fishing (species, size, visibility, etc) and your anatomy (big or small hands, strong or slim arms).
The Seatec is deadly accurate, a serious weapon, but a bit heavier than the others. The T20 has a bigger handle than the Excalibur, but can pack more power due to stronger trigger, the X Fire is the latest state of the art aluminium gun, but can hold only one rubber (anyway, I never tried it personally). Don't know much about the french ones.

I would side with spaghetti's suggestion for a Gabbiano ...with no buts or ifs!
Superb gun which will take you years to upgrade to something more "evolved".
I currently own 2 gabbianos (100cm, 90cm) and planning to make them three (77cm)!
www.tuttopescamare.com has a great price on these guns and on some others on your list (OMER).

all beautiful guns in my opinion, you will probably be very happy with either of them, where do you live? are they all available locally?

Whell, thanks. I think too that gabbiano is best of these, but the hendle looks quite cheep so i wasnt sure. And all the guns are approximately the same price. Anyway i'm from Croatia, so Mediterranean. Im thinking of 100 centimeters gun.

One more thing. You can also suggest me some other guns for price like that if there are better guns at your oppinion.

Hi Dino,
don't worry about that, the handle of the Gabbiano is not cheap at all: it may look cheap from photographs, but it's one of the best. Notice that the handle is made in metal (not in plastic like almost all the others), with metal trigger and stainless steel line release. The only downside is the weight: not a light gun. Under this aspect, the Omers in carbon are more easy-going (I use an Excalibur carbonium 100).
--As a croatian, you should know your great champion Branko Ikic: he spears only with Gabbianos ;-)
--Hey, Galadion: have you seen the new Seatec Tornado railgun ? I saw it in my town's shop and it's impressing: same handle of the Gabbiano, same barrel of the Skua, open muzzle with 3 (three!) circular bands. Definitely a gun for amberjacks.

If you are doing med fishing you may find 100cm a bit on the long side unless you are away from rocks and have sand and weed or intend on hitting tuna AJ's or other large species, from our experience in Cyprus med the best length has to be the 80's or at max 90cm. most guys here use the 75's with bands all over the place, some up to 4,:head (short distance power packs because of the rocks). if it is a choice of one of the above then the Omer Excalibur, and cut the tube down to 80 cm, add 3 16mm bulk bands and a open muzzle.(sorry, i like the trigger and grip of the omer).:inlove but not much else:) :) .

oh yes, Groupermadness is right, definitely. But Dino asked advice about a 100 or a 105...and BTW: Excalibur is sold also in 82cm alu or 83cm carbon.
--Hey Grouper: so you made your own DIY Excalibur 3000! ;-)

Spaghetti, i have a addiction :head , nothing i buy is perfect so i change it to make it "my perfect":) :).

Oh and yes i know they come in 82 and 83 cm:) :) just forgot that i cut up a 110 cressi that had a busted trigger, not the omer.:) :) :).

100 cm gun is good all around gun. I have 4 guns right now. 2 of them is 80 one 100 and another 110, next one will be 60cm OMER excalibur. OMERs nez excalibur 3000 is impressive prefect for all aorund hunting, on the other hand Gabbiano offers great accuracy and balance due to guns weight and hydrodynamic shape, advisable for aspetto and aguato, or shooting fish in open water where swinging issue has second priority.

I would like to see the picture of seatec Tornado if any of you have a picture of it.

MURAT! I'm so happy to see you again here on DB! Really!
For your question, the answer is no: it's a new product, and Seatec's website hasn't been updated yet. But the owner of the shop is a friend of Valerio Grassi, so being one of the first sellers to offer the Tornado (and the new Energy reel: very interesting concept, very very smooth lining).
The gun is just the way I described it, more to say that the three circular bands are 16mm each with dyneema wishbones (or Smoby? I don't remember!), the tube is alu 28mm covered with a PVC shell wich incorporates an integral rail.
For you, who appreciate Omer and short guns, two weeks ago I tried the XXVGold 82cm, and I'm impressed. With its thin 25mm carbon barrell it's SOOOO smooth to swing. I think it's the best short gun for Med fishing I've ever tried, I mean the best within 75-90 sizes. Try it if you'll have any chance!
ciao

i hope you will enjoy the new toy:t
best regards & good luck mate
